Goodwood Festival of Speed

The 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed has once again proven to be a huge success, as visitors attending the Bentley stand refused to let the weather dampen their spirits.

Bentley hosted a brand new stand allowing visitors and Bentley owners alike to experience more than ever before. Highlights included a range of interactive stations, for visitors to explore, including the Bentley craft stations where visitors could watch demonstrations of leather stitching and veneer marquetry, all demonstrated by craftsmen from the factory.

Other interactive stations included an area showcasing Mulliner, an Inspirator station for guests to craft their own car, a Pre-Owned section to highlight the range of affordability from Bentley and a space dedicated to the new Bentley 'The World's Most Extraordinary Car Photograph' campaign, which utilizes NASA technology to display the intricate level of detail Bentley designers and craftsmen use to create the finished product.

Demonstrating the whole Bentley model range, guests saw the new Flying Spur V8 S, a Continental GT Speed Black Edition, Mulsanne and a Pre-Owned GT V8. Of course, the stand would not have been complete without our new edition to the Bentley family, the Bentayga, which drew a huge crowd with a fantastic response from visitors.

Goodwood would not be Goodwood without some of our cars being run on the world famous ‘Hill Climb’

Long standing Bentley driver Derek Bell once again demonstrated his skills by driving a Bentayga in the first glance category. Meanwhile Bentley Boy David Brabham joined us for the festival and wowed the crowd with the Continental GT3 on the ‘hill’. The Bentley Blower, always a popular favourite from our heritage fleet, was once again supporting the event and when it was not on the ‘hill’, it was never short of admirers in the paddock.

Dubbed the largest motoring ‘garden party’ in the world, we look forward to returning in 2017.
