La Dolce Vita Itinerary
Power and luxury on the road to Florence

Day One:
A car will be waiting when you land in Milan, ready to transfer you to Villa d’Este on Lake Como – where your own car will be waiting. Described by Forbes as the world’s finest five-star hotel, its award-winning service, opulent surroundings and exquisite cuisine have made it a must-visit for discerning travellers. With stunning sixteenth-century gardens that have earned it a place on the World Heritage List, Villa D’Este is more than a hotel. It is a living, breathing example of Renaissance culture.

There you can relax in luxury as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day Two: Villa Seta
Your second day begins with a guided drive through the picturesque towns and villages that line the shores of the Italian Lakes. A ferry to Bellagio will be chartered – a great opportunity to give your right foot a rest and take in the views from the centre of the lake. Vintage Riva speedboats will be available, throughout the afternoon, to transport you across the water and later that day, to a breathtaking al fresco dinner.

Day Three:
On the third day you will drive in convoy to the Belmond Hotel Splendido in Portofino. There you can spend the afternoon experiencing timeless glamour before enjoying dinner while observing the azure waters of the Mediterranean.

Day Four:

You will have the morning to enjoy Portofino at your leisure – with the option of guided tours and spa treatments. From there, you will head down the coast towards Pisa – where you can stop to see the famous tower if you’d like – before making the short drive to the luxury accommodation suites at the Ferragamo-owned Castiglion del Bosco. Here, you will enjoy a traditional barbecue and wine tasting among 62 hectares of vineyards – on one of the oldest and best-preserved estates in Tuscany.

Day Five:
After a leisurely morning, you will depart on a short drive through the Tuscan hills – with a possible stop in Siena – before arriving at Belmond Villa San Michele in Fiesole, Florence. Once settled in, you will enjoy dinner on a terrace overlooking Florence, before retiring to your own room with an equally stunning view.

Day Six:
After a relaxing morning, you will have the opportunity to enjoy one of several guided city tours – taking in famous attractions such as the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery. This will leave plenty of time in the evening for the main event: a black tie dinner in the Palazzo Vecchio, a venue usually reserved for visiting heads of state. A police motorcycle escort will accompany the cars all the way into the pedestrianised heart of Florence – a breathtaking spectacle for onlookers and an experience we guarantee you will never forget.

Day Seven:
After breakfast you have the option of a transfer to the airport or a concierge service to extend your trip. If you wish to head home, your car will be carefully transported back to the UK and delivered to you shortly after you return.
